July Week 3 - Weight Loss


SATURDAY

Food preparation for the week is key! Today, cook up a good ol' batch of black beans in the crock pot. Beans are a good, balanced source of protein and carbohydrate. If you are afraid to eat beans because of the toots, check out these digestive enzymes!

If you are trying to go really low carb so you can shed pounds as quickly as possible, you can replace the beans in the meals below with sauteed veggies instead. But remember, you do need some carbohydrates for energy! It is all about balancing your blood sugar levels, eating beans with protein in the morning is a great way to start your day.

I always try to cook extra meat and veggies when I cook dinner so that I have left overs for lunches the next day!

Breakfast: If you are getting bored with the beans and eggs for breakfast, feel free to use some of the leftover meats and veggies from your dinners for breakfast!

1/2 Black Beans 

Dinner:

Glazed Pork with Fresh Plums & Steamed green beans


Sunday

Prepare this delicious Crock Pot Lemon Garlic Chicken and Veggies and make a big batch of Zesty Mediterranean Quinoa Salad for lunches!

Breakfast: 

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Saurkraut
1/2 Black Beans

Lunch:

Zesty Mediterranean Quinoa Salad

Dinner:

Enjoy our crock pot dinner!


 

Monday

Breakfast:

Lunch: 

Greek Power Bowl - Using chicken from crock pot meal

Dinner:

Pork tacos! - Using pork from Saturday


Tuesday

Breakfast:

1/2 Saurkraut
1/2 Black Beans

Lunch:

Zesty Mediterranean Quinoa Salad


Wednesday

Hump day! Just in time for this awesome Crock Pot Gumbo with Sausage, Chicken & Shrimp!

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Saurkraut
1/2 Black Beans

Lunch: 

Salmon Salad

Dinner:

Crock Pot Din Din! 


Thursday

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Saurkraut
1/2 Black Beans

Lunch:

Reheat that Gumbo! 


Friday

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Saurkraut
1/2 Black Beans

Lunch:

Chicken Salad - Use chicken from last night. 

 

Dinner:

Go out to dinner with friends and/or family or enjoy a buffet of delicious food from the fridge!
