July Week 2 - Weight Loss


Saturday

Food preparation for the week is key! Today, cook up a good ol' batch of black beans in the crock pot. Beans are a good, balanced source of protein and carbohydrate. If you are afraid to eat beans because of the toots, check out these digestive enzymes!

If you are trying to go really low carb so you can shed pounds as quickly as possible, you can replace the beans in the meals below with sauteed veggies instead. But remember, you do need some carbohydrates for energy! It is all about balancing your blood sugar levels, eating beans with protein in the morning is a great way to start your day.

I always try to cook extra meat and veggies when I cook dinner so that I have left overs for lunches the next day!

Make a big batch of coleslaw for the week too!

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Sauerkraut
1/2 Black Beans 

Dinner:

Coleslaw & Grilled Steak - grill extra steak!


Sunday

Let's grill up some chicken for this weeks meals! I would at least double the amount you cook so that we have plenty for lunches. 

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter - Get fancy and add some steak to the mix!


1/2 Sauerkraut
1/2 Black Beans  

Lunch:

Steak & Potato Salad - Using leftover steak from yesterday.

Dinner:

Grilled Chicken & Coleslaw


Monday

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Sauerkraut
1/2 Black Beans

Dinner

Grilled Halibut with Cumin & Lime

Bean Salad - Make plenty so we can use it for lunches! To mix it up, you can use the beans that you made today. 


Tuesday

Tomorrow morning is going to be another crock pot day, be sure to check out what we are making
so you can do any necessary food prep tonight!

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Sauerkraut
1/2 Black Beans  

Lunch:

Coleslaw & Grilled Halibut tacos using last nights Halibut! 

Dinner:

Chicken & Pears over Arugula Salad - Using our grilled chicken from Sunday


Wednesday

Let's cook up a pot roast to carry us through the rest of the week! Feel free to add a few other
root vegetables to the mix if you want. 

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Sauerkraut
1/2 Black Beans

Lunch: 

Bean Salad & other leftovers

Dinner:

Eat our crock pot meal!


Thursday

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Sauerkraut
1/2 Black Beans

Lunch:

Pot Roast and mash those potatoes from yesterday up with some of the gravy and meat drippings. 

 

Dinner:

I'm such a fan of tacos as an easy second meal from the main meal!

Roast Beef Tacos


Friday

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs w/Butter
1/2 Sauerkraut
1/2 Black Beans

Dinner:

Go out to dinner with friends and/or family or enjoy a buffet of delicious food from the fridge!
